Do I need financial statements for my company?
It is a legal requirement by the Corporations Act for small companies to keep sufficient financial records to be able to outline every business transaction. It does not necessarily mean that you are obligated to have financial statements prepared every single year, however, in many circumstances it is beneficial to have at least one (e.g. in order to get a loan).
